Resum/trabalho is a maze of photographic correction filters, dark orange colored, through wich one can view a summary of my work over the last decade.
Joining the latest production with the oldest tried to suggest the unity of all aesthetic investigation and question the notion of progress in the field of art. Eliminating any time reference in its display, the works lost their temporal hierarchy, jumping into the present tense, happening simultaneously.
Just as the viewer inside the maze, the thought of the artist is made of reflections, repetitions, variations of earlier movements, turns back, missteps, unprecedented decisions.
This we see clearly in the watercolors -where ideas of play, repetition, variation or transformation are evident- but also in the small sculptures or collages. The photographs of places in transformation also referred to unfinished processes. Also the structure that forms the labyrinth itself, given its modularity, and combined with the over 450 existing filters colors, can change and take any form depending on the function to play in every moment.
This installation belongs to a wider series of works that use the same metallic structure, exploring its constructive possibilities for articulating language, and that aim as a whole to a structural analysis of the functioning of sculpture vocabulary.
